Gluten-Free Spaghetti with Peppers & Sausage
Ingredients
- 12 oz. Heartland Gluten Free Spaghetti
- 20 oz. sweet lean Italian turkey sausage links, cooked and sliced into bite-sized pieces
- 2 Tbsp olive oil 1 cup onion, chopped
- 2 green bell peppers, diced
- 2 (14.5 oz.) cans of Italian-style tomatoes, diced
- ¼ cup tomato paste
- 6 Tbsp Parmesan cheese, optional
- Fresh basil leaves to garnish, optional

Directions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Drain, cover and set aside.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add onion and peppers; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and cooked sausage; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 15 to 20 minutes or to desired consistency.
- Serve over hot pasta.
- Sprinkle with cheese and garnish with basil, if desired.
