Gluten Free Penne in Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
- 12 oz. Heartland Gluten Free Penne
- 1 lb. asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 cups 1% milk
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
- 1 cup red bell pepper, diced
- 6 oz. Canadian bacon, diced

Cook Time: 00:15 (hr/min)
Serves: 6
Directions
- Cook pasta according to package directions; add asparagus during last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Drain, cover and set aside.
- Meanwhile, whisk together cornstarch and milk.
- Cook over medium-high heat for 2 – 3 minutes while stirring.
- Add cheese, bell pepper, and Canadian bacon; mix well.
- Gently stir in hot pasta and asparagus.
